To kick start this blog, I’m going to go right a head and share with you guys one of my favorite products that I’ve tried and have become part of my skin care regimen. I  fell in love with this serum after the first use, which is the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate.

This treatment promise to “regenerates, repairs, and replenishes skin for a smoother, healthier skin. Works with the skin’s natural nocturnal activity when skin is most receptive to repairing itself from daily aggressors to dramatically restore skin”.

We did come a long way, before we found each other. I read about it on Kiehl’s official website, when I was on a hunt for a night time serum. After getting more into skin care, I realized, I was lacking a treatment product such as a serum in my skin care regimen.

From what I learned, these types of serum helps to repair your skin from the daily harmful things that your skin is been attacked by. Especially if you living in a stressful enviroment, you’re not the only one who needs to recover, your skin needs it too. So adding a treatment product in your skin care routine is very important.

What convinced me to finally seal the deal, was after I read the ingredients list. I was pretty impressed. The long list of natural oils were fully packed in this serum. The 3 key ingredients here are Evening Primrose Oil, Lavender Essential oil and Squalane. Plus it was paraben free, fragfrance free and minera oil free.

The containing bottle is dark blue, made out of glass. The packaging in this looks very classy to me, I really like it. It has a dropper inside, where you can take out as much product as needed.

I have a sensitive combination skin type. In the winter time, my skin gets drier. So putting oil on my face, seems to be common sense to me.

The way I used this is, I dropped a few drops on my finger tips, rub it between my fingers and massaged it on my face. The oil was surprisingly lightweight and the lavender scent made the whole experience more pleasant. It absorbs quickly into the skin.

The first few times when I used it, I only needed 3-4 drops. My skin just drank up everything and I didn’t need to use a moisturizer on top of it. But you can do so, if you think the oil alone isn’t moisturizing enough for your skin.

The next morning I can see visible changes. The redness was reduced, skin tone looks more even, my face was baby soft. I swear, my skin was glowing! I would never thought I could see significant results this quickly. But I did, all thanks to this “glow in the bottle”. For the size of the bottle and the amount you need to use for each night, means this stuff gonna last you ages.

After the first week or so, I only needed 2-3 drops. Since my skin has been “recovered”, I don’t need to use the oil as much as before. In fact after a month of using continuously every night, I can see the effects is faiding away. I’m not sure why this happens, but from many reviews I’ve read, some products do this. I guess when your skin snap back to the normal state, the effects just stop.

This is one of the reasons why, I don’t like to use any product for too long. Your skin will get used to it. But I still like this serum and will keep using it randomly. I actually prefer this over a normal moisturizer. It still does a very good job moisturizing my dry skin and making the skin velvety soft.

When ever I feel like my skin start to look dull, I like to put this in use again. Check out Trilogy Signature Skincare Collection.

Is there any HG product that you keep going back again?
