I’m usually pretty casual when it comes to makeups and clothes. I like to keep things simple most of the time. I know over times it can become almost a habit to keep wearing the same style of clothing and makeups. So that’s why is good to break up our habits and spice things up a little. Today I’m going to share with you, how you can take the usual everyday eye makeups and make it more fun – by just adding a little some thing to it. You’re so pretty, Helen! I really like the pop of green on the lower lash line!

Aww thanks Becca, you’re so sweet :) I think applying color to the lower lash line balance out the whole look! But I always struggled taking pics of myself, since the makeups always looked washed out in every pic :(

lol, that is exactly why I still haven’t posted any face shots on my blog–I can’t figure out how to make it actually a.) show up, and b.) LOOK GOOD! Haha

Lol I know, it’s kind of hard when every shot you take it doesn’t seem to show up right and you end up taking hundreds of them :D and only 1-2 pic will look Okay, sighh.. Do you use photoshop? It helps a lot when editing pics, but you still have to learn how to use the right tools lol, which I still got a lot to learn

I use photoshop to edit my product pics–but I really only use it for brightening and contrast, etc. I don’t know how to make face pictures specifically look good.

And I definitely know what you mean about taking all those pics–for every product pic, I take hundreds of pics of each angle and different lighting settings, etc. and it ends up taking me hours to just take the photos–that’s not counting how long it takes me to go through the hundreds of photos and choose the ones I like and then edit them! lol. Ah, the life of a blogger…

The life of the blogger isn’t that glamorous after all. I never would have guessed that there was so much efforts putting into taking photos! But definitely feel like a proud mama after I have got the “perfect” shot and edited it lol :D gotta love being a blogger!

I’m more familiar with Corel Photoshop, I think when it comes to editing face pics :) Corel is the best. But too bad, it isn’t compatible with my current laptop. The Adope Photoshop is way too complicated for me :(

              • Becca June 24, 2012 at 12:51 am

Lol, I know. And you never stop and think about it prior to starting a blog–but what drives me the craziest is not being able to use your brand new makeup until you’ve finished taking photos of it. I get SO impatient because I’m so used to immediately going home and running to my bathroom to play with it/put it on! haha

I’ve never heard of Corel–I’ll have to look that up. Anything to help make the editing process easier! :P

Lol Oh yeah I suck at waiting to take pics first before using them too!! If you can use Corel, you going to love it when editing face pics. I’m not sure how good it is for product pics tho – but I think it shouldn’t be any problem since with product pics you only need to adjust the basic stuff.

I remembered when I used Corel for editing pics taken with flash, it made my face look pretty darn good :D and I hate taking pics with flash, it always made me look the worst lol it brings out the bad more than the good!
